Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows 10 is the latest in a line of arcade racing games, and it features multiplayer mode, a full career mode, new maps, new cars, and a new game engine.

This version of the Asphalt game series from Gameloft saw an upgrade to the selection of vehicles in which 80 percent of the cars were brand new. Like many other time-based games of its nature, you must spend time playing the game to unlock the nicest cars in the selection. As you earn points by winning circuits, you can unlock new vehicles, or you can pay with real-world money and unlock them right away. The design of the vehicles is impressive, and there are a total of 47 to collect and customize with different paint jobs in this game.

Asphalt 8: Airborne also includes nine new environments, such as Monaco, Tokyo, Venice, London, the Alps, the Nevada desert, and Iceland. Almost every track has a hidden shortcut you can use to gain an advantage over other racers.

There are several game modes to choose from when playing Asphalt 8: Airborne. The game centers around the career mode, which offers 180 events spanning eight racing seasons. There's also a quick race mode with various race varieties, and lastly is the online multiplayer mode. Up to eight players can join in a single game, and you can play over WiFi with friends in your area. You can compare your skill with your friends and the rest of the world in the ranking system.

This series features a style of gameplay that matches arcade systems of the past, but the game is more immersive. Like other arcade racers, you can collect power-ups and other items on the road, and you can temporarily increase your speed with a Nitro boost. Since this version is called Asphalt 8: Airborne, it features springboards in every track that help you launch into the air while performing amazing feats.

The graphics in this game are the best they have ever been in the Asphalt series. It takes advantage of a new physics engine to produce detailed lighting and background, and the engine is powerful enough to show slow-motion collisions and swirling debris.

To help maintain the action, the game uses three different types of catchy, upbeat music. You can select whichever you prefer for putting yourself in the right frame of mind to smash anything in your path.

Not much has changed since the last iteration of the Asphalt series. The gameplay is roughly the same, but the real differences are in the updated cars, maps, and game engine. With the combination of online multiplayer and the offline career mode, Asphalt 8: Airborne can provide countless hours of entertainment. It represents one of the best mobile racing simulators.
